Peut-être ne voyaient-ils en l’Homme qu’une nouvelle espèce animale, et ni ses constructions ni son industrie ne les avaient davantage impressionnés que la vie en société des fourmis n’impressionne l’homme moyen – l’émerveillement devant cette vie analogue à la sienne mis à part.
